On-site Advertising Manager

Advertising managers ensure that advertising spaces are sold for media supports.


They may work on-site within a media, or within an independent agency that sells spaces for many supports (TV, radio, newspapers, display, Internet).Their task consists in searching for announcers, creating sales arguments and finally, negotiating advertising rates. Appreciated skills: first and foremost, sound marketing knowledge, to add value to the editorial positioning of the supports. Strong interpersonal skills are also essential in this interpersonal and hands-on job. 

Since the increase in special-interest channels and Internet networks, space sellers have become very treasured. Consequently, their salaries have increased. Generally, after a few years in this position, advertising managers continue their careers by progressing towards positions such as sales directors or account managers. Among the main requirements, they must definitely possess managerial skills and a packed address book.
